Today
I came home with a heavy heart
My mind muddled
Confused
Thoughts chaotic and jumbled
I walked passed
My neighbor playing with his son
The young boy laughing
As his toy car zipped
And whipped around
His smile bright and beaming
His big brown joyful eyes
Lit on me
With a simple word 'Hi'
And a giggle
My heart lightened and sighed
It brought a smile to my lips
A feeling of contentment
That I cannot deny
