Movin' This Body

I started my first Zumba class (per my sister's recommendation, she's in great shape by the way) on December 17, 2012.  Don't get me wrong I've taken Zumba before but this time it was at a gym I've never been to, new teachers and all that.  I got a great deal on Yelp for my first couple of months.  This last month has been a very enjoyable experience.  I've been going consistently three days a week (with exception of the Christmas holiday) and I'm happy to say I think it's paying off.  I haven't weighed myself and I refuse to (one look at the scale and my euphoria might take a flying leap) but I did take a picture of myself and my sis (which I've posted below, you can't mistake which one is me not only do the arrows point me out but even without them I think you can tell which one of us is on the heavy side) on my first day of class and believe me when I say that my cheeks looked like I was storing a few cheeseburgers for the winter.  Sad really.  In the one month that I've been working out I'm feeling good and optimistic that I will reach my goal.    I'll keep on keepin' on.

Update:

Well according to my awesome instructor, Leslie Meils, she's noticed that I've lost weight.  The date today is May 2nd and I'm very optimistic that I will soon be fitting into my 'before the fatness' clothes...hahaha...  I've posted a pic below of Leslie and her faithful students... :)  I'm the cheeky one.

Update:

Today is  August 6th of 2013.  I've been working out consistently five days a week (Zumba, U-Jam and Cardio Dance) since May, I've also added Circuit training twice a week and I feel great.  I think it's definitely paying off.  I've posted a pic below...

I'm the one in purple...

Update:

Today is December 31, 2013.  I've had some set backs to my work out regimen.  I've relocated and in my current location a gym is not easily accessible so I've been looking for alternatives.  What I've found is http://www.fitnessblender.com.  It's great!!!  And it's free!!!  Happy New Year everyone!!!  May 2014 be a great one!!!
