*Driving* *alone*
In the summer's sweltering heat
From golden California
Through the Lone Star state
Of *Texas*
To my destination
The city that never sleeps
*New York*

My mind drifts
Daydreaming
Of my *glory* days
And
*Dancing*
Without a care
At all hours

My hands
Gripping the steering wheel
Of my sunset gold filly
As I watch the *moonlight*
*Sparkle* it's reflection
On the hood
*Shining*
Like a beacon
In the night

I make a wish
As my eyes
Lit upon
A star
That *fell*
From the
Heavens above
Arcing downwards
Performing it's final
Swan dive
Below
