I Decree

My malaise

Entombed deep in my viscera

The omentum

Holding it captive

Chained

To its lacy net

Unable to break free

Oh, there was a time

Its leaky affliction

Escaped

Its formidable bonds

And a growl rooted in anger

Asphyxiated in my soul

Triumphantly leaped

A roar of unmeasurable magnitude

Barreled into space

The gods willingly devoured my rage

Took gleeful delight

And granted an ache

That blazed through

The midnight blackness

The music twinkling

Lovingly in my ears

As the stars burst

Through my fears

With the rising of the sun

I was free

But time again will surely show

When passions shall overcome

And please the gods once more

Their burning child shall glow

I decree

You Are My...

I Crossed The Sea

I crossed the sea

In search

And landed

Where the

Sun burst

Where squid sizzled

And chicken fried

Amidst treasures

That caught my eye

Along the way

I beheld the seventh son

Of the seventh son

And paid my dues

To my wi-fi blues

I crossed the sea

Once again

At home at last

With my

Camomile friend

Lovely Walls

Staring into the whites

Of blank walls

Overwhelmed by the emptiness

Of it all

No art or culture

Does it grace

Just an empty

Never ending space

My nails cut

Into my hand

Blood dripping

As I ran

In the wheel

Of todays

No turning back

To yesterdays

I leapt into space

The blank wall

With no face

Blood dripping

From shallow wounds

I hit that void

A raging monsoon

Blood splattered

A blazing red

Those lovely walls

Can now be read

Nowhere Where It Ought

I had a thought earlier today

Was it important?

Who can say?

It flew to

Xanadu

Or Timbuktu

Or maybe

To you know who

'He who shall not be named'

It zipped

Out of my head

Possibly plucked

Instead

I've thumbed

Through my files

Of imagined notions

Even my memorized

Potions

But no

Nada

Zip

The thought

That I thought

Is nowhere

Where it ought

So I'll sit

For a while

In my vagabond style

And hope that

My thought

Will come back

As I've labored

And wrought

Right here

In my pen

To bring me

A smile again

A New Planner

I've bought a new planner

Like so many I've bought before

Years past

Melted ink

Burning stink

I've kissed

This year goodbye

With the passing

Of the torch

2014 I will scorch

Incinerate beyond

Recollection

Filled with scribbles

And reverie

Hopes and misery

A corpus of words

Written in a yearlong saga

Erased in a burst of flames

Therapeutic

Analeptic

So they say

What do I know

I just love the glow
