Me and You

We walked in
To the Smuggler's Bar
At Jamaica Inn
We had driven quite far
That cold, gray January day
It was nice to escape the rain
I ate my first Cornish pasty
As we waited for the deluge to wane

We sat by the window
Looking into each other's eyes
As the room dimmed
And faded from view
All I saw was blue
And I knew
It will always be
Me and you

Terpsichore

The Gods
Of old mythology
I studied
As a child

I was drawn
To the library; weekly
To read their stories
Reckless and wild

Of mighty Zeus
His conquests; naughty
Of Hera, his bride
Riddled with jealousy
Oh how she would get so riled

But none
Was more favored by me
As was
Terpsichore

She was a muse of dance
The talented, Terpsichore
One of daughters; nine
Of Zeus and Mnemosyne

As I twirled and whirled
In my room; such fantasy
I would call out her name
To inspire me in my game
And most summer days
It was all the same

To be that child again
Living in my dreams
Such happiness to be found
When all around
All I heard
Were silent screams

Mrs. Fry

She walks in with disheveled hair
She looks a fright
Her gait; beefy
With a slight limp on the right
She's put on too much weight
But she can't see
Through the coveting and the hate
It's a sad sad case
For
Mrs. Fry

Her world is small
Though she tries
To stand tall
But everyone just sees
A jealous woman
Who can't see
Through the coveting and the hate
It's a sad sad case
For
Mrs. Fry

All that glitters
Isn't always gold
With her baubles
And colors so bold
But she still can't see
Through the coveting and the hate
She's missed out on a love
That could have been great
And now it's way too late
It's a sad sad case
For
Mrs. Fry

Save It For A Rainy Day

This was in my head the other day and flowed out of my fingers. Not sure what to do with it. Maybe put it on the shelf and save it for a rainy day...

Am I still alive? I slowly open my tear filled eyes. I didn't know a person could survive a blast through the chest. I check my extremities for damages. All seem mobile and accounted for. I sit up and wince at the pain. I look down at my body, surprisingly there seems to be little to no external damage. It must be all internal. I will have to do a diagnostic check as soon as I'm able. What happened anyways? I seem to be suffering some memory loss. They say that when you have lapses in memory, it's to protect yourself from the pain. What pain am I protecting myself from?

My Madness Or Is It Sadness

Once seen
Can not be unseen
My heart; heavy
Curiosity stabbed me bloody
In all transparency
But it was clouded
By untruths
And I have died
In my drama

But he has shown me the way
Pulled me from madness
Or is it sadness
I can never tell
Of my own creation
Brought the smile back
To my lips
A Piskie resides in me
He says
Brought back
From Cornwall
I don't care
As long as I have him all

End Of's and Monsters

Laying here
Thinking of you
Your 'End of's
And your 'Monsters'
At first I didn't have a clue

Laying here
Thinking of you
A smile plays on my lips
As I reminisce
On our time spent and
Our first kiss

Laying here
Thinking of you
My body perspiring
In the heat as I sigh
I can feel you thrusting
Between my thighs

Laying here
Thinking of you
Your large hands
Caressing my skin
I feel them still
Maybe it's what brought
The mood I'm in

Laying here
Thinking of you
Your 'End of's
And your 'Monsters'
A smile plays on my lips
As I reminisce
My body perspiring
In the heat as I sigh
Your large hands
Caressing my skin
The pleasure in your eyes
As I thunder towards heaven
Astride my valiant King
Those fierce and stormy nights

Oh my love
How it feels so right

16 Years Ago I Dreamt

It was a dark and damp night
As I walked down the lane
My feet squished in the mud
I wished it hadn't rained

A shiver of fear
Ran down my spine
As I walked ever closer, nearer
To those black iron gates

I walked through
Those stiff iron bars
Up the long lonely path
Silently I wished I was at home
In a warm bubble bath

My feet squished in the mud
One step at a time
In my ears the pounding of my blood
On my body a layer of grime

Next thing
I was whisked away
To a large foyer
With marble floors
And stood there
Was my beloved grandmother
Long gone from this world

Next to her my two sons
Stood quietly watching
As tears flowed from my eyes
There must be some...misunderstanding

You must go
And leave them with me
She said
No this cannot be
I cried
I looked up
And I was back outside

In the middle of the lane
I looked around
And stood on the other side
Of those black iron bars
Were the faces three
That I loved so well
Watching me

As I slowly made my way
Up the lane
My feet squished in the mud
How I wished it hadn't rained

Untamed

I felt the rising tide
In the dark lonesome moor
As your turbulent fingers
Whipped through my hair

Pushed and pulled
At my body
Groped my curves
Caressed my soul

The fear excited me
As you angrily lashed
Wind and sand
Against my delicate skin

Your fearsome temper
Pelted hail
Surrounded me
Swallowed me whole

Do not let me enter
Do not let me leave
Make up your mind
For I feel your untamed wildness
And I am answering your call

Pure Bliss

It was a cold gray day
Solemn and veiled
Chilled in twilight
As I stepped off the plane

Quietly and purposely
I rolled my suitcase
Down the line

A man walking ahead of me
Turned back and smiled
Disturbed my thoughts
If only for a short while

"Marry me", he said
"Oh you silly man",
I replied
"My heart is waiting for me.
Please believe
He is right outside"

I passed a few bumps
Along the way
Quite annoying
I might say

But I finally
Made it through
The double doors
I see blue

Standing a head taller
Than the crowd
A smile, pure bliss
On our lips
Our first kiss
In the lift
Tentative but true
Oh my darling
I do miss you
